Fungus & Bacterial Treatments

The are also many different types of fungus treatments for fungal related problems, Some multi purpose remedies treat fungus and bacterial or parasitic problems at the same time. Treatments are available for white spot, fin or tail rot, body rot, mouth or body fungus, ulcers, healing wounds and reducing stress when introducing new fish. Water Treatments

Most water treatments perform a specific function. Treatments cover such things as chlorine neutralizer, removing heavy metals like zinc or copper, fish waste breakdown or reduction, removing aluminium or lime. They may also add electrolytes or synthetic slime to coat fish etc. It is ideal to utilize these products when setting up a tank, performing water changes or introducing new fish. Hence they should be part of every fish keepers regularly used products for a healthy aquarium. Please speak to our staff regarding your requirements and setup.

Biological Treatments

This type of product usually contains the good strains of bacteria that develop normally in a healthy aquarium. This leads to degrading organic matter and increasing your dissolved oxygen and completing the nitrogen cycle. Ammonia and toxins will reduce leading to clean healthy and clear water. Algae Treatments

These kill algae of course. Treatments are available for various applications. Over treatment of algae killers will harm your plant life.

Clear Water

Products designed to clear cloudy or polluted water. Usually contain a flocculent that traps small water bourne particles causing them to sink to the bottom.

Plant Foods

We also have products designed to feed the plant life in your aquarium. Most people buy live plants on a regular basis as they simply don't last or grow. With plant food you can actually grow plants successfully in your aquarium. Naturally, if you have fish that consume the plants it will be an ongoing battle!!

Ph Modifiers

When the Ph in your aquarium is not accurate it is important to slowly return it to the correct level. These products are designed to do exactly that. Be sure not to over dose, and make sure you adjust the level slowly as rapid changes in Ph will stress your fish.

We have test kits for checking Ph, water hardness, nitrates and ammonia. Test kits come in single tests, or multi test packs for constant use. Checking you water quality should be done on a weekly basis to ensure you have a healthy aquarium. This can prevent you ever having to medicate the tank due to problems or disease.
